Now that Linus has endorsed Git as the SCM environment of the Linux kernel, an explosion of development on it should be expected. From what I understand Git is not an SCM in itself, but a filesystem conducive to SCMs. In any case, I would imagine that with Linus’ endorsement, we should see it eventually evolve into something quite nice.
